Conservatorships

A conservatorship is a court’s processes and procedures that are needed to administer an adult individual’s estate or person when that adult individual is no longer able to manage their assets or personal care. A conservatorship can be of the person or of the estate, or both.

A conservator of the person is responsible for the individual’s health care, food, clothing, personal care, housekeeping, transportation, and general wellbeing.

A conservator of the estate manages and protects the conservatee’s assets, collects their income, prepares budgets, pays the conservatee’s bills, invests the conservatee’s money. This conservator must prepare and submit annual accountancy to the court of their management actions
